New campus will offer a transformational, community-first approach to address homelessness in Southern Nevada
LAS VEGAS (July 7, 2025) —
As support and interest in Campus for Hope continues to grow, the Campus for Hope Foundation has released a collection of official renderings and visual assets to help communicate what this transformational space will become — a beautiful, community-forward campus designed to uplift and support, created to give a second chance to individuals facing homelessness in Southern Nevada.
The renderings illustrate how Campus for Hope is designed to enrich not just those facing hardship, but the surrounding neighborhoods and broader region. The campus will offer critical services to individuals experiencing homelessness, while also being thoughtfully designed to enhance the surrounding neighborhood. This is not just a place of support, it’s a center for opportunity, renewal and connection to resources. These new visual assets provide a clear, forward-looking view of what the Campus for Hope will be.
How Campus for Hope Is Different
Campus for Hope is not a shelter, but rather a transformation facility where individuals and families who are ready, willing and able to work on a plan for independence are able to obtain a variety of services to regain their footing in life. After being referred to the Campus for Hope by navigation centers throughout Clark County, this visionary campus will provide those eligible individuals with a holistic approach to addressing homelessness. Offering temporary housing and wrap-around services to provide a pathway to stability, employment, and permanent housing, Campus for Hope is a comprehensive approach to homelessness and will be dramatically different from any other project created to address homelessness. The Campus for Hope will fully integrate with partners in the community, creating an exponential lift to the entire system of care in Southern Nevada. This trauma-informed program will be built on the principle that treating people with dignity and respect in a positive environment creates accountability.
“Campus for Hope will provide a much-needed lifeline for residents of Southern Nevada who are working to rebuild their lives and regain housing stability,” said Kim Jefferies, CEO of Campus for Hope. “By providing comprehensive, robust services in a single location, Campus for Hope will have a profoundly positive impact on homelessness for both individuals and for the broader Las Vegas community. In addition to the reintegration services that will be offered at Campus for Hope, this investment frees up capacity elsewhere in the broader valley-wide system of care to help those with more acute needs including those experiencing chronic homelessness.”
Timing
The construction of the Campus for Hope will commence in the Fall of 2025, after all individuals currently residing in the buildings on the site are relocated to housing appropriate for their specialized needs. The Campus for Hope will open in 2028.
Location
The Campus for Hope, announced in January, will be located on a 20+-acre parcel of the current Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services campus. This campus has provided a variety of in and outpatient mental health services since the 1960s and these services will continue alongside Campus for Hope. The site is centrally located and has convenient access to transportation.
